What is Portable Storage?

With portable storage, we bring the storage unit to you.  You fill it with items just as you would any other type of storage, and then we transport the unit to our warehouse for safe keeping. 

Why should I use Portable Storage over conventional self storage methods?

 Simplicity!!  Convenience!!  Safety!!  You eliminate the need to rent and drive a large bulky truck.  You eliminate the need to rush to get the truck loaded and unloaded so you can return it that day.  You eliminate the need to walk up the skinny ramp into the back of the truck, risking injury and damage.  You eliminate the hassles of dealing with multiple people – one call does it all.

 How big are the storage units?

 Each unit is approximately 5’ wide x 8’ long x 7 ½’ tall.  You can store up to 2,000 lbs (1 ton) in each container.  The unit will set flat on the ground, leaving you only a small 6” step up into it to make loading safe and easy.

How do I determine how many units I might need?

 An average homeowner should be able to get 1 ½ rooms of furniture in each unit.  If you are uncertain what your needs will be, talk to us.  We can also arrange to leave you an extra unit just in case.  If you don’t use it, there will be no charge.

Where do I set the unit?

 The most common area is the driveway of your house or parking lot of the business.  Look around your home or office to determine the best location to allow ease of loading and minimal interruption.  We must have a paved surface to drive on with the delivery vehicle to place the machine.  Still not sure……just call us, we’ll help you thru the process.

Are my items secure?

 You have the only lock to the unit.  At your location, during transport, and at our climate controlled warehouse…the unit remains locked with the lock you install and you control.  If you choose to store the unit at one of our facilities, it will be in a climate controlled warehouse with 24 hour security surveillance.

How do I get to my items if I need them?

 If you would like to sort thru your unit and add or remove items, we can return the unit to you and you can casually go thru it.  If you just need to pick something up or add a couple things, call us ahead of time and we can have the unit out and ready for you at our facility.
