First Impressions
Can Make or Break the Sale of Your Home
What is Curb Appeal?
Curb appeal is the first impression of your
house as seen from the street. The large majority of buyers will
first see your house as they drive by. Research shows
that 80% of genuine buyers will make up their mind from the street.
If they like what they see, they will be back. Your house may be a
palace on the inside, but if it has no exterior appeal, you will have
trouble getting a buyer to go inside. There are many things that
can improve the exterior of your home and appeal to a larger number of
potential buyers.
Does your home have Curb Appeal? The next time
you are coming home, take a minute to stop at the end of the driveway and look
at your house from the eyes of a potential buyer. What is your first
impression of the house and the yard? Is it well landscaped? Is the
yard maintained? Is the house appear clean or dingy from the weather?
Are the gutters clean? What are the best exterior features? What are
the worst? How can I improve them?
Below you will
find practical ideas for adding some Curb Appeal.
